RECOGNITION AWARD
Individual Award
The individual(s) we wish to recognize for this
award is a
Federal Government employee who has made an outstanding
contribution to a specific environmental stewardship
issue in a materiel management mode within or beyond
his/her organization, OR who demonstrates continuing
commitment to broad intra-government environmental
protection and prevention principles through innovative
actions, the introduction of cost-effective practices and
general awareness promotional activities as applied to
the life-cycle of materiel assets.
To qualify for the award a candidate
must:
- have exceeded the requirements of all applicable federal, provincial and municipal environmental laws and/or regulations now in effect;
- have initiated innovative actions or practices to reduce environmental impact in a measurable way;
- have contributed to general environmental awareness inside and/or outside of his/her organization; and,
- have demonstrated cost-effectiveness in implementing sound environmental practices.
Team Award
The team we wish to recognize for this award is
a defined group of federal government employees that has been formed,
and given official mandate, to solve a specific environmental stewardship
problem in a materiel management context, OR to deal with or coordinate
on an ongoing basis one or more assets-related environmental protection,
prevention or assessment operations. The team may be composed of
employees within one organization or employees from two or more
organizations in either a single-function or cross-disciplinary
mode. The team will have demonstrated measurable successes through
innovative actions, the introduction of cost-effective practices,
and awareness/outreach promotional activities as applied to the
life-cycle of materiel assets.
