Getting the most from the CIPMM 2010 National Workshop

Read the program in advance. That way you will be able to plan each day and attend the sessions that are beneficial to you.

Choose a back-up session in case your first choice is full. You may want to mark your program with your choices so you can quickly identify where the alternate session is being held.

Arrive at least five (5) minutes before your session starts to ensure that you get a good seat. It also provides an opportunity to meet and network with your neighbours.

Try and meet the staff and Board members. We are here to make your stay as beneficial as possible.

Curtail conversations when someone is speaking at a microphone, in the plenary sessions and in the workshops.

Please complete evaluation forms. We review and consider these carefully, so make your voice heard.

Wear casual comfortable clothes and shoes. There is some walking you may have to do.

Do something new. This is a wonderful chance to learn something new. Take a session to learn about a topic you don’t know anything about. Breaking out might lead to new opportunities.

Converse with strangers! Talk with anyone who is standing or sitting next to you. It’s okay, it’s expected. Networking can lead to learning about alternative work and learning methods, or even better, a new friend.

Ask questions to the exhibitors. They are not just there to sell, but to provide information to everyone.

If you choose a session and find out in the first few moments that it is not for you, you are welcome to move quietly to another session. Speakers expect a certain amount of movement in the beginning.

ENJOY! There is a whole wealth of learning, understanding and profitable ideas for you to take home.
